Quantum fluctuations: Enhancement or suppression of chaos?
نویسندگان
چکیده
We have studied the effects of quantum fluctuations on dynamical behavior by using squeezed state approach. Our numerical results of the kicked harmonic oscillator demonstrate qualitatively and quantitatively that quantum fluctuations can not only enhance chaos but also suppress classical diffusion. In addition, the squeezed state approach also gives a simple picture of dynamical localization. PACS numbers: 05.45.+b, 05.40.+j, 42.50.L, 03.65 sq Typeset using REVTEX

We analyze fluctuations of quark number and electric charge, in 2-flavour QCD at finite temperature and vanishing net baryon number density. In the hadronic phase we find that an enhancement of charge fluctuations arises from contributions of doubly charged hadrons to the thermodynamics. The rapid suppression of fluctuations seen in the high temperature phase suggests that in the QGP quark numb...
متن کاملTransmission and scarring in graphene quantum dots.
We study electronic transport in quantum-dot structures made of graphene. Focusing on the rectangular dot geometry and utilizing the non-equilibrium Green's function to calculate the transmission in the tight-binding framework, we find significant fluctuations in the transmission as a function of the electron energy. The fluctuations are correlated with the formation of quantum scarring states,...

We discuss the properties of hadronic fluctuations, i.e. fluctuations of net quark and isospin numbers as well as electric charge, in the vicinity of the QCD transition in isospin-symmetric matter at vanishing quark chemical potential. We analyse secondand fourth-order cumulants of these fluctuations and argue that the ratio of quartic and quadratic cumulants reflects the relevant degrees of fr...
متن کاملInvestigation of strong force influence on behavior of nuclear energy levels in Calcium and Titanium isotopes: Based on quantum chaos theory
The atomic nucleus is a complex many-body system that consists of two types of fermion (neutron and proton). They are in the strong interaction. The statistical properties of energy levels and influence of strong force between these fermions are well described by random matrix theory. Resonance of energy levels depends on the Hamiltonian symmetry placed in one of the GOE, GUE and GSE ensembles ...
